How long have you been at CommUNITY and what do you love most about our church?
Jason and Nici responded to God’s call to plant CommUNITY in 2012, and have been here ever since. Jason loves the Church’s hunger for God’s Word and their desire to grow together, and Nici loves that even though we’re a smaller congregation, the church knows how to SERVE in big ways - CommUNITY Church is irrationally generous with their time, talent, and treasure.
What is your role and ministry focus at CommUNITY Church?
Founding and lead pastor (and wife), and Jason’s focus is on preaching 75% of Sunday mornings, teaching various classes throughout the year, and pouring into our leaders to pour into our Church. Nici’s focus as pastor’s wife is to help her husband keep the sermons shorter than an hour (haha), but she also oversees the Sunday morning worship that production includes stage, audio, and video.
What is your favorite verse or passage in scripture and why?
Jason’s favorite is 2 Timothy 4:2-5, as he sees it as a personal directive for his life as long as he’s able. Nici’s favorite passage is Proverbs 3:5-6 because as our family has experienced tragedies, this passage kept her not looking at current circumstances, but looking at the Lord and trusting in His work and plan for our eternities.
