How long have you been at CommUNITY and what do you love most about our church?
My wife, Gayle, and I came to CommUNITY Church in 2015. I had recently retired and relocated back to my hometown, and we were looking for a Spirit-filled, Bible-teaching church. As soon as I walked through the doors I was completely engulfed in the atmosphere of love and grace of the church and the people. I am honored and thankful to be able to be a part of the community outreach and support of our church.
What is your role and ministry focus at CommUNITY Church?
I was ordained as an Elder/Pastor here at CommUNITY Church in 2018. In this role I serve with the other Elders in oversight and guidance of the Church as we love Jesus, love who Jesus loves and serve who Jesus serves. I also am privileged to teach God’s Word when called upon.
What is your favorite verse or passage in scripture and why?
Choosing a favorite scripture or passage is a challenge! All of God’s Word is, indeed, perfect and infallible. Psalm 91:9-10 are verses that remind me daily to always lean into God, and no evil will overtake me.
9Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place—
the Most High, who is my refuge—
10 no evil shall be allowed to befall you,
no plague come near your tent.
